If you like my pictures, or know someone who you think would, please get in touch to find out more. I will consider commissions but reserve the right to choose whether to accept them or not. I do suggest that you look at my artwork, first. Please think about your budget for the project, as this will need to be something we discuss.
Past commissions include paintings of particularly beloved local places, some using photographs to bring in old family snaps, or trees that have been cut down. I have painted seascapes, garden scenes, buildings and street scenes.
An example commission from a few years ago was for a gentleman who wanted a pair of pictures of Lake Pier, Hamworthy. I biked over there on a series of freezing January days, and sat on the beach and made a series of pictures, of which he chose two as a present. I sold several others.
I had another customer who liked one picture I had made of Sandbanks, and wanted one of Poole Harbour as a pair to it. I went out there and made a couple of pictures one of which worked well with the other, and which she asked me to frame up to accompany the other one. It worked out well for me, as one of the other pictures I did- (I went to do the view, only to find dense sea fog when I got there)- sold at the Bath Summer Open- a picture I wouldn't have made if I hadn't gone to the location on that day to try to do the commission!
